Who We Are

Community of Christ is an international Christian church with 250,000 members in more than 50 nations.

Our mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love and peace.

The church has been established in the British Isles since the mid 19th Century.

We have 17 churches or house churches meeting around the British Isles. Many of these groups offer an extensive programme including worship, scripture study, social events and activities for children and young people or teenagers. Dunfield House, situated in Herefordshire and owned by the church, is the venue for camps for children, young people and families and other church-related events. There is a link to the Dunfield House web site on our Links page.

 

Our aim is to:

Make the good news of Jesus Christ the centre of our worship, learning and caring.

Provide opportunities for you to discover and a find a deeper understanding of that good news and how it can change your life and bring spiritual growth.

Offer you a place where you can find new and deep friendships, where you will feel valued and find support in times of need.

Celebrate that we are all different and unique, that this uniqueness makes each person special, and that these diversities enrich our communities.

Encourage everyone, both young and old, to find purpose by serving Jesus Christ, using your gifts and abilities to help others and promote peace.
