Key Resources

Initial Resources for Seekers/Investigators Exploring Community of Christ

You will know that Community of Christ had a brief shared history with the Latter-Day Seeker community between 1830 to 1844.  From that time the two churches have been separate communities travelling their own, unique faith journey.

Today, Community of Christ welcomes all people, regardless of gender, sexuality, colour, race or creed.  Here we celebrate the worth of all people and embrace the rich diversity of life which creates communities of love, hope, joy and peace. A community that has ordained women to the priesthood for over 30 years, has full equality for LGBT members and friends and celebrates marriage for those that love God and each other regardless of their sexuality. You are invited to explore the material below produced by Community of Christ specifically for seekers/investigators.

COMMUNITY CIRCLE

Welcome from Rand Irons - Online Facilitator

I know what you may be thinking. Attending an online worship seems like an unusual way to 'go to' church. My invitation to you is to log on and join us, we may surprise you!  At Community Circle, we bring together persons from across Europe, both members and seekers to share in fellowship, singing and worship. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community online that works to build Zion and share the message and mission of Jesus Christ across borders. I hope you can join us, we would love for you to become part of our community. To find out what it is all about, we invite you to worship with us.

Contact us

Through Facebook Group 'Community Circle'  http://www.facebook.com/groups/126614498022678/ Our email address is: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

How do I get online?

Please contact Rand through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and he will send you a link to the Zoom platform via email or Facebook providing access to the online worship for that week and often the scripture or theme we will be exploring.  When you select this link you will automatically be online with the group.  There is no dress code, be comfortable, come as you are.

Are there activities for my children/family in your group?

At the moment we do not offer child-specific ministry during our online worship. We are exploring how we can offer this type of ministry in the future.

Tell me about your worships?

Community Circle's worship starts with a discussion based on a specific scripture that is focused on Jesus's life and ministry. This leads into a worship experience that explores the ministry and teachings of Community of Christ. Throughout our time together we will sing hymns together, pray together, build relationships and worship together.

What other activities can I join in at your church?

We are discussing plans to expand what we offer as an online worship experience and make that experience manifest in everyday life. These activities could include coordinated service projects, occasional in-person gatherings and/or learning opportunities. Please check out our other congregations and events page for ways to meet up with our wider community.
